What is it?

VennSocial is a new social enterprise trying to change the way that we meet new people.

We each live in a huge web of overlapping groups of friends. We're making it easy for you to put these groups together - meeting people through your friends, and with your friends.

Facebook and others have made it very easy for us to see the full extent of our social connections – we’re bringing all that social potential into the real world.

Why?

Because the current options for a busy 20-something wanting to meet new people simply aren’t good enough:

Online dating is ok but a little awkward/desperate. House-parties work but are too few and far between. Nightclubs and bars can be good with the right crowd, but can leave us unfulfilled.

We all enjoy meeting more people – this is simply a better way to do it: through your friends, and with your friends.

What do I do?

It couldn’t be simpler – go to the site, log in with Facebook, which takes seconds. Tell your friends and send them some invites, then start polishing your profile.

What then?

Look around... all these different groups of people that you know or half know, or maybe don’t know at all! They are all here to meet new people, same as you.

Then go and meet them! Where? Wherever you like! Go for a curry? Have them round for dinner? Walk in the park? It’s up to you – we’ll try to give you some snappy ideas, and maybe get you some discounts along the way.

Who's it for?

Everyone – this isn’t just for single people: that would be odd. This is about having a night out with your friends where you also meet some new people.

We have lots of single users, but also long-term-partnered, engaged, and married ones.
