Integrate Google Gemini with Venn
Overview
Google Gemini is Google’s AI assistant, available primarily as a browser-based experience at gemini.google.com and natively embedded across Google Workspace — including Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, and Google Meet. For organizations on qualifying Workspace editions, Gemini is not a separate product: it is active across every core application employees use daily, capable of drafting emails, summarizing documents, analyzing spreadsheet data, and generating meeting notes directly within the familiar Google interface.
Gemini in Chrome, now broadly available to Workspace users and personal Google accounts on macOS and Windows, adds a persistent AI sidebar to the Chrome browser that can read and summarize the content of up to ten open tabs simultaneously, generate content, and engage in Gemini Live voice conversations without leaving the page. A native desktop app for Windows is available as a Google Labs preview (accessible via a global keyboard shortcut, similar to Spotlight), and a macOS app is reported to be in active development — positioning Gemini to expand from a browser-first experience to a persistent desktop presence alongside Google’s cloud ecosystem.
Why it’s helpful to run it in Blue Border®
Google Gemini inside Blue Border® runs in a secure, IT-controlled enclave where company data, documents, emails, and other sensitive work content stay isolated and protected. Approved Gemini sessions can assist across browser and Workspace workflows under the same security and DLP controls applied across the rest of the workspace, while unauthorized Gemini use outside Blue Border® is blocked from accessing sensitive work data.
That means employees and contractors can use Google Gemini productively on personal or unmanaged devices, while your organization controls which AI sessions can access business content — and prevents sensitive emails, documents, spreadsheet data, meeting notes, and browser activity from being exposed through unauthorized AI use.

SASE
Zscaler and Venn close the gap SASE alone leaves open. The Zero Trust Exchange secures the path to every app; Blue Border secures company data and applications once they reach the endpoint.
It’s additive: no new infrastructure, just zero trust that reaches the last mile. The result is less risk, faster onboarding, lower device costs, and a workforce that can work securely from anywhere.
